  1. Finally, Desi! I am glad you were able to upload some of your video clips. I know that your lesson was a bit long and that you had been experiencing much difficulty uploading it.

Again in this clip students were supposed to use the webquest to produce a brochure but unfortunately were not able to do so due to technical difficulties.

However, the development of the webquest as an insturctional tool is a brilliant idea and bearing in mind what we have said before about the teacher's need to incorporate students' interest in internet technologies. I was really fascinated by this. You should however, alwys have a contingency plan in case one does not work, and so providing students with pictures and bristol board and other materials to produce their brochure would have worked well.

  2. It would have been nice to actually use a web quest. However we must always keep in mind that the new literacies can be disappointing, and unreliable. Sadly, many of us will probably not be able to use these new literacies when we return to our schools, due to the inavailability of resources.

  3. I think you meant the technologies, Jeanne, not being reliable. And sometimes unavailability of computer technology and lack of internet access can hamper your ability to incorporate the new literacies of the internet in instruction.
